What is medication appropriateness? It's not everyday that we see new a book tackling such unexplored concepts as “polypharmacy” and “medication appropriateness” coming out into the market. What makes it even more remarkable is that the book was edited by both a general practitioner (Enrique Gavilan) and a clinical pharmacist (Antonio Villafaina) working in a relatively peripheral area of Spain, Extremadura (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extremadura), rather than in a major urban global centre.
